Thoughts appreciated - something tells me that buying the latest adapter with beam-forming technology isn't going to solve this - as people who are buying those are still posting similar slow speed issues. (The PC was supplied with windows 7, but I decided to upgrade to Win10 before xmas.)įrom what I see on forums, quite a few people have had driver problems with 5ghz adapters on Win10 ranging from not seeing the network and having to reinstall drivers, through to slow speeds resolved by reverting back to older driver versions. Is it that the adapter is old now? or that the driver isn't really doing the best on Windows 10? The adapter is supposed to be good for 150 to 300 mbs. But in the same room, with the above Netgear adapter plugged into my Windows 10 PC, I only 20-30mbs even though I have downloaded the latest In short, using my Samsung Galaxy Tab S, I get 70mbs connection to 5ghz wifi with my BT Home Hub, same with my iPhone 6. Hi all - having an issue with slow wifi through my Windows 10 machine using Netgear wnda3100v2 wireless adapter.
